ÉLARA FASHION is a premium ready-to-wear label. We design in small runs, work with mills we visit in person and finish by hand where it matters — building a wardrobe of tailoring, knitwear and accessories meant to outlast the season it was bought in.

Origin

Started with one shirt

ÉLARA began in 2014 in a single room above a fabric market in Bengaluru, with one question: why did a well-made shirt have to cost either very little, or a great deal? We set out to sit between the two — using mill-direct fabric, honest construction and a small team who cared about the details no one else would notice.

A decade on, that first shirt is still in our archive, and the instinct behind it — considered fabric, restrained design, garments that earn their place in a wardrobe — still guides every collection we release, from tailoring to knitwear to the accessories that finish an outfit.

Craft & materials

What goes into a garment

Fabric first

We source long-staple cottons, merino wool and mulberry silk from mills we visit in person, choosing fibre before silhouette so every piece feels as good as it looks.

Hand-finished

Buttonholes, hems and top-stitching on our tailoring are finished by hand in our Indiranagar atelier — a slower process, and the reason our clothes wear well for years.

Small runs, considered

We cut in batches of 300 units or fewer per style. It costs us scale, but it means less waste, tighter quality control and pieces that don't flood every wardrobe.

Made to last

Reinforced seams, natural fibres and classic proportions mean our clothes are designed to be worn — and repaired — for seasons, not discarded after one.

Sustainability

Fewer, better things

We measure our impact in what we don't produce as much as what we do. Cutting in small batches means less deadstock, and working directly with mills lets us trace every fabric back to its source — no unnecessary middlemen, no unnecessary shipping.

We favour natural and recycled fibres wherever the hand and drape allow it, and we package every order in recycled, fully recyclable materials. It isn't a marketing claim; it's simply how a small atelier prefers to work.
